Ever since the beginning of creation it has always been God’s design to be in relationship with us.
Which means when we sit down to encounter God, we can expect Him to show up.
That doesn’t always like what we expect.
In the Bible, we see God show up in some very creative ways. Through a talking donkey (Numbers 22), a burning bush (Exodus 3), a split water way (Exodus 14, Joshua 3), a waterlogged fire pit (1 Kings 18)… the list goes on and on.
We’ve all had quiet times that have felt like duds.
We’ve all experienced life-altering change where we wonder if God is still good, if He’s still love, or if we’re still in His will.
In Have Hope; Will Travel episode {10} we address those things.
What’s God’s will for my life? The same as it was for Jesus’ life.
How do I know if I’m hearing God’s voice? Does it sound like Him?
How do I know what sounds like Him? Read the scripture.
What do I pray when everything around me is falling apart? “God, receive the glory due to Your name in this.”
Our challenge this week is to show up to our quiet time expecting God to be there too and to read the scripture to get to know Him.
